Following a successful bid with North Yorkshire County Council Public Health Department, Brighter Futures will now be delivering two Mental Health First Aid courses in Selby.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.

Adult MHFA courses can be attended by people aged 16 upwards and are relevant for the general population.

Everyone on an Adult MHFA course is taught a set of skills which enables them to support someone experiencing mental health issues.

The first course will be on the 23rd and 24th February 2017 with the second taking place later in Spring of that year.

Each course is free of charge (following the North Yorkshire County Council funding) and each can take up to 16 people.

With the generous support of Selby District AVS, both courses will take place at Community House.

To book a place on the course or for further information please email Robert at- robert@brighterfutures.org.uk
